| Almost unlimited opportunities exist for enjoying the wide variety of coastal birds. From the marina, spot several varieties of Gull plus Brown Pelicans, Cormorants, Loon, Griebe and many more. Around the beach and bays are a vast display of shorebirds from Heron to Caspian Tern and birds of prey. Of course in the wooded areas an even more extensive population reside. The annual shorebird festival in April is a big attraction as thousands of birds transit the area or take a "Bird Watching Cruise" on the ocean to view Pelagic flocks as they migrate far offshore.
