| The South Beach offers the best surfing opportunities in the Pacific Northwest. Twelve months out of the year you can find waves and there are several surf shops and lessons available. It's never too early or late to learn this wonderful sport!
Surfing is also a great spectator sport and from the jetty you can walk out on boulders to get alongside the surfing (great for photography). At Halfmoon Bay when the waves are breaking big it feels like you can reach out and touch them from the shore! The finger jetties at the marina also offer a high & dry spot to sit and watch the wetsuit clad warriors attack the waves.
