Are the homes fully equipped...what do we need to bring?
Although individually owned and furnished, Each home is fully equipped and prepared for your beach enjoyment. Full kitchens have everything you need for most meals you want to prepare and some are bordering on "gourmet' in their attention to detail.Most units have salt and pepper and basic spices. All linen and bath towels are provided but we DO NOT PROVIDE BEACH OR POOL TOWELS. Please bring them with you. Each home has a washer/dryer. We supply enough fresh coffee for 2 - 3 pots, paper towels, toilet paper and bath amenities, dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry soap.
How do I check in?
Westport Beach Escapes is not located on site in any of the locations we manage so your rental will be prepared for "direct access" with a lockbox and combination at the door. It will be ready for you at 4:00 p.m. on the day of your arrival (unless early check in has been arranged in advance). No matter how late you arrive... your beach home will be ready for you!
Where are the properties located?
All locations are described on each individual property. If you make a reservation you will receive detailed driving directions with your arrival instructions.
How do I make a reservation and where's the office?
Most properties can be reserved online 24/7 but we will be glad to assist you over the phone at 888-386-7263 or 360 267 1336. Business hours apply. We are located at the heart of Westport Marina on 2601 B Westhaven dr .
What time is "check in" and "check out"?
Regular check in is 4:00 pm . We allow for earlier arrivals at 2 pm the earliest if the unit is ready with no additional charge. We do our best to have all homes ready by 4 but we cannot guarantee that during busy season.
Regular check out is 11:00 am so that we can prepare the home for the next arriving guest. All guests must be out by 11 am otherwise late fees and additional night rates may be charged. We also ask guests to keep in mind that their departure affects teh time we have to clean and prepare the home for the next check in.
How far is the nearest grocery store?
The Shop N Kart is within 10 minutes of all of our properties. While it may not have as much variety as larger stores, you will find everything you need there. We recommend fresh seafood be purchased at the marina... either Seafood Connection on Float 8 or Merinos Seafood on Nyhus St. High quality meets and produce can be picked up on your way to the beach. As you enter Aberdeen look for Michaels Meats and Jays Farm Stand on the right side of the road just past Taco Bell. The local drug store sells snacks and the liquor store also has milk. In Grayland there is a smart local store as well on Highway 105 with lots of great weekend treats such as smores and picnic kits.
What's with the cleaning fee and is it refundable?
The cleaning fee is standard to the vacation rental industry and so are the check out procedures. We are glad to point out that our fees are the lowest ones in the area and our housekeepers are paid teh highest wages in Grays Harbor. I am afraid we cannot refund the fee. It takes hours to clean and sanitize all used linens and towels, sanitize all bathrooms, clean and organize all homes. Please look at the "Toxic-free" section on our website for more information on our maintenance and products. Extra housekeeping services can be provided with an extra fee.
Can I bring my dog?
In the pet friendly homes yes, as long as is under weigh limits. A non refundable pet fee will be charged and please look at our pet policy under the terms and conditions on the web site. We can't spot clean a 'dog accident" and the guest will be responsible for a full carpet cleaning fee if that happens. All dogs need to be treated for fleas within no more then three weeks of traveling, that way your best friend is not carrying fleas to our homes.. or back home with you. Furniture is off limits!
